AI credits, simply explained

AI credits are the unit SendSeven uses to bill your AI usage. Whenever the AI works for you, for example answering a customer or suggesting a reply to your team, it uses credits. The more work, the more credits.

Credits come out of your plan's included volume first. Knowledge base search, translations and failed AI runs are free. On this page you can see what each AI feature costs and work out your own month.

This pricing applies from 1 November 2026.

What do AI credits cost at SendSeven?

One AI credit costs €0.01. From 1 November 2026, AI is billed by effort: a typical AI agent reply costs about 1 to 2 credits on Fast and about 3 to 8 on Advanced. Credits come out of the plan's included volume first, after messages. Knowledge base search, translations and failed runs are free. AI agents are included from Professional, with no add-on and no per-user fee; SendSeven Cowork, your in-app AI assistant, runs on every plan.

The essentials in three points

100 AI credits = €1

One credit costs €0.01, the same on every plan. Within your included volume, one credit counts like one message.

You pay for the effort

A short reply costs a fraction of a credit, a long conversation with detailed instructions costs more. Fractions are billed with no minimum charge.

Included volume first

Your plan includes a monthly allowance. It covers your messages first, then AI credits. Only what goes beyond it costs €0.01 per credit.

What costs what?

Typical values from real use. Actual usage depends on how much the AI has to read and write. In the app, every AI message shows how many credits it used.

Figures in AI credits per use, 1 credit = €0.01. An agent only opens a photo or PDF when the conversation needs it. When adding knowledge, a PDF counts its real pages; other files and web pages count one page per 5,000 characters. When a website is re-read, only new or changed pages count.

What costs no credits

  • Knowledge base search, including by bots and agents. Only the reply the AI writes from it is billed.
  • Translation of messages and emails, plus language detection
  • Failed or cancelled AI runs, including the notice or handover message that follows
  • Keyword bots and messages from flows without AI (only the normal message price applies)
  • Test chats with bots and up to 500 test runs per day in an agent's test console

Fast or Advanced?

You choose per task and per agent how much computing power the AI uses. Think of it like staff: most customer questions can be answered quickly by anyone who knows the facts. Only some requests need someone who weighs options and thinks several steps ahead. For the same request, Advanced uses about 3.3 times as many credits as Fast.

Fast

Quick and economical

Fast answers clear questions reliably as long as the answer is in your knowledge base. That covers most of everyday customer service.

Good for

  • Opening hours, prices, addresses, delivery times
  • Order status, booking or rescheduling an appointment
  • Short replies and reply suggestions for your team
  • Questions to SendSeven Cowork in the app
Credits for the same request1×

Default for reply suggestions, Cowork and every new AI agent.

Advanced

Thinks more deeply, costs more

Advanced is the stronger AI. It keeps track of long conversations, weighs several things against each other and follows detailed instructions more precisely.

Good for

  • Requests with several parts, such as a return plus a warranty question
  • Advice and comparisons: which product suits me?
  • Long conversations with many details
  • Building flows and AI agents with the AI builders
Credits for the same requestabout 3.3×

Default for the AI builders. The agent builder always runs on Advanced.

Everyday examples

What customers write, or what you ask the AI to build, and the level we would choose for it.

Customer writes

Are you open on Saturday?

Fast

One clear fact from the knowledge base. Fast answers it just as well.

Customer writes

Can I move my appointment from Tuesday to Thursday?

Fast

A clear request with a fixed sequence of steps. Fast is enough.

Customer writes

Where is my order? I ordered last week.

Fast

A standard question with a clear answer. Fast is enough.

Customer writes

The kettle broke after 13 months. Is it still under warranty, or can I return it?

Advanced

Two topics, a date to check and rules to weigh up. Advanced keeps the parts together.

Customer writes

I run a small café. Which of your coffee machines fits 80 cups a day?

Advanced

Advice: needs and products have to be compared. Advanced explains the difference more clearly.

You build

Build me a flow that qualifies new leads and books an appointment.

Advanced

Many steps that have to fit together. The builders start on Advanced for good reason.

Our recommendation: how to find the right level

  1. 1

    Start with Fast

Leave new agents on Fast. For most customer questions, the answer is just as good and costs about a third.

  2. 2

    Test for free

Ask your agent typical customer questions in the test chat. Test chats use no credits.

  3. 3

    Switch only where needed

If an agent struggles with specific requests, set just that agent to Advanced. Per task under Settings → AI, per agent in its settings.

  4. 4

    Keep an eye on costs

Every AI message shows its credits. A limit per conversation stops a single chat from getting expensive.

Wrong answer? Check the knowledge first

When an agent answers incorrectly, the cause is usually missing or outdated knowledge, not the level. Add the missing information to the knowledge base first and test again. Searching the knowledge base is free, while Advanced costs about 3.3 times as much on every reply.

How to keep costs under control

Usage per feature

Under Settings → Usage you see your AI credits by feature. Every AI message shows how many credits it used.

Limit per conversation

For each agent you set the maximum number of credits a single conversation may use.

Facts in the knowledge base

Prices, opening hours and products belong in the knowledge base rather than in long instructions. Searching it is free.

Report via API

The billing API returns credits per feature group and workspace, for example to re-bill your own customers.
